Kevin Nathaniel Pearson, 35, of 10013 N. 14th St., Tampa, was transferred Friday afternoon to Pasco's Land O' Lakes Jail to await a hearing on a parole violation.
Pearson was on parole at the time of his arrest Monday, having served a prison sentence for convictions in 2004 on charges of sexual battery and false imprisonment in Pasco County.
Tampa police arrested Pearson at 4:45 a.m. Monday near 830 W. Kennedy Blvd. A caller had earlier reported him walking naked near the intersection of Rome and Cass streets, according to police.
Police gave no explanation for why Pearson had no clothes on at the time of his arrest.
By being out beyond his curfew at the time of his arrest, Pearson violated his parole, police said.
Pearson was being held today without bail in Pasco County.
Pearson was released from the Tomoka Correctional Institution in Volusia County on Aug. 27, four days before his birthday, records with the state Department of Corrections show.
